Tax Season is closing in...

The volunteers are limited in scope as to what types of returns they do.  They only do individual returns.  They DO NOT do the following:

• business returns
• rental properties
• farm income
• returns with depreciation
• returns with crypto currency
• other return of a complex nature

The program is always looking for additional volunteers.  If you know how to use a computer and have an interest in doing income taxes, you may volunteer on the AARP website: www.aarp.org/taxaide

PLEASE make sure you have ALL your documentaion gathered.  Including but not limited to all of your statments needed for the 2026 Tax Year (1099 int, R, SSA, etc), VALID photo ID, social security cards for ALL individuals being claimed on the tax return.  

Please add all of your medical expenses up before arriving for your appointment (you do not need to bring any supporting documents with you, but keep them in the event of an IRS audit).

Once you have all of your documentation, you may stop in Deardoff Senior Center to schedule your appointment (computer will be available and a volunteer on hand to assist.) between 8a-12p Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri.

PLEASE NOTE:  The volunteers are NOT at Deardoff on Thursdays.
